Your work profile
The Senior SAP PS Consultant will lead the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP S/4HANA Project System (PS) solutions. The consultant will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, finance, production, and maintenance teams to deliver integrated project planning, budgeting, execution, cost control, resource management, and project reporting solutions.A Senior SAP PS Consultant is expected to lead the transformation of project management processes by leveraging SAP S/4HANA best practices. The role is responsible for delivering integrated, scalable, and business-focused project solutions that enable effective planning, execution, budgeting, cost control, and project reporting while ensuring seamless integration with finance, procurement, manufacturing, maintenance, and asset management. The consultant is also expected to drive successful project delivery from requirements gathering through Go-Live, Hypercare, and knowledge transfer.
Key skills required
- 6–8 years of SAP PS consulting experience.
- Minimum 4–6 years of SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration experience.
- Experience in 2–3 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations, Greenfield, Brownfield, or Bluefield projects.
- Experience in industries such as Engineering & Construction, EPC, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Infrastructure, Aerospace & Defense, or Capital Projects is preferred.
Business Process Consulting
- Conduct business process workshops and requirement gathering sessions.
- Analyze existing project management and capital project processes.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specifications.
- Perform Fit-Gap Analysis and recommend SAP S/4HANA best practices.
- Advise clients on project governance, cost control, and project lifecycle management.
SAP PS (Project Systems) Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and design SAP PS solutions aligned with project management processes.
- Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Project Systems functionalities including:
- Project Structures (WBS Elements)
- Networks and Activities
- Milestones
- Project Planning and Scheduling
- Cost Planning and Budgeting
- Revenue Planning
- Resource Planning
- Project Settlement
- Progress Tracking and Monitoring
- Investment Management Integration
- Configure:
- Project Profiles
- Network Profiles
- Planning Profiles
- Budget Profiles
- Status Profiles
- Settlement Rules
- Support project execution, budget control, and cost monitoring activities.
SAP DMS (Document Management System) Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP DMS processes including:
- Document Creation and Classification
- Document Version Control
- Document Lifecycle Management
- Document Check-In/Check-Out
- Document Authorization and Security
- Engineering Document Management
- Drawing and Specification Management
- Configure:
- Document Types
- Workstation Applications
- Object Links
- Classification Systems
- Document Status Management
- Support integration of documents with projects, equipment, materials, and business processes.
Project Delivery Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of SAP S/4HANA implementation projects:
- Requirement Gathering
- Business Process Workshops
- Fit-Gap Analysis
- Solution Design
- Configuration
- Testing
- Data Migration
- Cutover Planning
- Go-Live and Hypercare Support
- Prepare Functional Specifications for enhancements and custom developments.
- Coordinate with technical teams for reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and integrations.
- Develop business process documentation and user training materials.
Integration Responsibilities
- Work closely with:
- SAP FI/CO for project costing and settlements
- SAP MM for procurement and project materials
- SAP SD for project-based sales processes
- SAP PP for manufacturing projects
- SAP PM for maintenance projects
- SAP EAM for asset-related projects
- Support DMS integration with:
- SAP PS
- SAP PM
- SAP MM
- Experience with SAP Fiori applications related to PS and DMS
