Your work profile
- An experienced SAP Treasury Management Senior Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) and prior experience working in SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, enhancing, and supporting treasury operations, cash management, liquidity planning, banking operations, risk management, and financial controls for utility organizations.
- The consultant will work closely with Treasury, Finance, Accounting, Billing, Revenue Management, and SAP IS-U teams to ensure seamless integration of treasury processes with customer collections, revenue streams, and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Treasury & Risk Management (TRM)
- Configure and support SAP Treasury Management solutions, Manage treasury processes including: Cash Management, Liquidity Planning, Bank Account Management, In-House Banking, Payment Management, Financial Risk Management, Debt and Investment Management, Treasury Operations
- Support treasury accounting and financial reporting requirements.
Cash & Liquidity Management
- Design and optimize cash forecasting and liquidity management processes.
- Monitor cash positions and liquidity requirements across business units.
- Support cash flow planning and working capital optimization initiatives.
- Manage short-term and long-term funding requirements.
Banking Operations
- Configure and support:
- Electronic Bank Statements (EBS)
- Bank Communication Management (BCM)
- Payment Medium Workbench (PMW)
- Automatic Payment Programs
- Bank Reconciliation Processes
- Coordinate with banking partners for treasury-related initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal control policies.
SAP IS-U Integration
- Collaborate with SAP IS-U functional teams to support utility revenue and collection processes.
- Ensure integration between: SAP Treasury Management, SAP IS-U, SAP FI-CA (Contract Accounts Receivable & Payable),SAP FI/CO, SAP Billing & Invoicing
- Support cash receipt management arising from utility billing and customer collections.
- Assist in optimizing treasury visibility for Meter-to-Cash business processes.
Financial Risk Management
- Support management of: Foreign Exchange Exposure, Interest Rate Risk, Investment Portfolios, Borrowings and Loans, Treasury Compliance Controls
- Configure treasury instruments and risk reporting mechanisms.
- Support treasury audits and regulatory reporting.
Project Delivery & Support
- Conduct business requirement gathering workshops.
- Analyze treasury processes and prepare functional specifications.
- Lead SAP implementation, enhancement, migration, and support initiatives.
- Coordinate with technical teams for custom developments and integrations.
- Execute unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and go-live support.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop treasury dashboards and management reports.
- Support liquidity, cash flow, and banking reports.
- Monitor treasury KPIs and control metrics.
- Assist management with financial analysis and decision-making reports.
Documentation & Training
- Prepare business process documentation, functional specifications, and SOPs.
- Conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Support change management and process improvement initiatives.
Key skills required
- 6–10 years of SAP consulting experience with strong expertise in Treasury Management.
- Hands-on experience in: SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), Cash Management, Liquidity Planning, Bank Account Management, Electronic Bank Statements (EBS), Payment Processing, Treasury Accounting.
- Experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation project.
- Strong integration knowledge with SAP FI/CO and banking interfaces.
- Experience working in SAP IS-U or utility-sector projects.
- SAP S/4HANA Treasury and Risk Management experience.
- Experience with SAP Bank Communication Management (BCM).
- Exposure to SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM).
- Knowledge of utility customer collection and revenue processes.
- Experience with payment gateways and digital collection platforms.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the utilities sector.
- Preferred Industry Experience: Power Distribution Utilities, Power Generation & Transmission Companies, Water Utilities, Gas Distribution Companies, Energy & Utilities Organizations, EPC & Infrastructure Companies, Utility Consulting Organizations
- Graduate degree (Science or Engineering) – MBA (Finance) / CA / ICWA preferred.
- SAP Treasury Management or SAP FI Certification preferred.
