You will work as part of a Digital team within Tax & Legal, partnering closely with Business and Digital Leaders to optimise and transform how services are delivered through AI. This role sits at the centre of a major shift in professional services delivery: moving from experimentation with tools to scaled adoption, measurable impact, and better client outcomes.

You will become a trusted expert and strategic partner, bridging the gap between emerging AI capabilities and the day-to-day realities of Tax & Legal service delivery. The role combines elements of technology enablement, process improvement, change leadership and stakeholder partnering, with a clear focus on helping practitioners use AI confidently, effectively and responsibly.

Business Context

The business has already made strong progress with tools such as Legora and Microsoft Copilot, which are beginning to deliver meaningful impact. The next phase is about scaling what works: monitoring the market for new developments, assessing and adopting more advanced tools, increasing adoption across service lines, improving sophistication of use, driving greater consistency where appropriate, and moving from isolated use cases to transformed end-to-end processes.

In this role, you and the wider team will help drive the following outcomes for the business:

Your key responsibilities

Strategic Partnership

• Act as a thought partner to Tax & Legal leaders and practitioners, building trusted relationships, understanding pain points, and identifying high-value opportunities to scale the use of AI.
• Help the business navigate one of the biggest shifts in how professional services operate, from evaluating the potential value and return on investment of AI to mapping how it can reshape different service lines and activities.
• Support leaders and client teams in articulating how AI-enabled delivery strengthens propositions, improves delivery models, and enhances client pitches and conversations.

Technology Enablement and Adoption

• Monitor the market for relevant developments and help assess, select and adopt increasingly sophisticated AI tools and capabilities.
• Drive the rollout, configuration and adoption of AI platforms across service lines, ensuring they are embedded into optimised workflows and practical ways of working.
• Develop deep expertise in the relevant technologies so you can guide practitioners on high-value use cases, effective adoption and good practice.
• Train and support super users across the business, helping build confidence, capability and advocacy within service lines.
• Facilitate consistent approaches to priority use cases and activity types where standardisation will improve quality, efficiency or scalability.
• Create practical solutions for specific use cases and act as a process expert to help optimise and redesign end-to-end processes.
• Capture user insight, recurring pain points and emerging needs, and feed these back into tooling, process design and adoption priorities.
• Document leading practices, reusable approaches and scalable playbooks that help the function grow consistently across the business.

Programme and Change Management

• Help ensure that AI optimisation and transformation initiatives are delivered with strong programme discipline, effective stakeholder engagement, clear prioritisation and robust change management.

Key attributes and experience are likely to include:

• Experience working in a Tax or Legal environment, either as a practitioner or in a technology-focused role supporting Tax or Legal professionals.
• A strong understanding of how professional services delivery can be improved through AI, automation and better process design.
• Experience of change management, adoption, training or enablement in a business transformation or technology rollout context.
• Strong process thinking, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and help redesign workflows end to end.
• Commercial awareness and credibility with senior stakeholders, with the ability to connect technology adoption to client value and business outcomes.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
• A practical, curious and adaptable mindset, with the judgement to balance innovation, consistency and responsible use.

Tax

Our comprehensive range of services encompasses everything from the completion of tax returns (corporation tax self-assessment) to complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross-border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
