Work you’ll do
Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) – Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice in Southeast Asia. We work with senior executives of our clients on shareholder value, inorganic growth, and portfolio rationalization by offering financial, M&A, and debt & equity advice. Use deep analytics and AI to align deal strategy with corporate goals, maximize benefits, and support integrations, separations, and transformation.
The Post Merger Integration (PMI) team helps corporate, private equity, and government clients realise transaction value through the successful planning and execution of integrations. We support clients from pre-close planning through Day 1 readiness and post-close execution, helping them establish integration strategies, governance structures, operating models, and synergy realization plans. By bringing together people, processes, technology, and culture, we help organisations capture deal value faster, minimise disruption, manage integration risks, and achieve their strategic objectives.
You will work alongside our clients to solve complex integration challenges and deliver sustainable business outcomes. Leveraging rigorous analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and practical execution support, you will help clients make critical decisions throughout the integration lifecycle. This includes identifying value creation opportunities, managing cross-functional dependencies, driving stakeholder alignment, and translating strategic objectives into actionable integration plans that support long-term growth and transformation.
The nature of the work we do includes:
- Lead workstreams in integration planning and execution, including synergy realization, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Design and oversee detailed integration roadmaps, governance frameworks, and KPIs.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, measure progress, and proactively address challenges.
- Oversee and ensure updates to project plans, milestones, and documentation are accurate and timely.
- Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and deliverables to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare and present detailed status reports and updates for executive leadership and clients.
- Drive research efforts and strategic analysis to support M&A initiatives.
- Lead market and industry assessments, and oversee target screening processes.
- Work closely with leadership to develop proposals, high-impact presentations, and client deliverables.
- Lead workshops and meetings to facilitate decision-making and issue resolution.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on analysis, reporting, and client engagement.

Requirements
- Possess an undergraduate degree with strong academic credentials in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., PMP, CFA, CPA, MBA, Agile certifications) completed or in progress will be viewed favorably.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, ideally within consulting, M&A, post-merger integration, transformation, transaction advisory, or a professional services environment.
- Demonstrates advanced analytical, problem-solving, and business diagnostic capabilities, with the ability to structure complex problems, synthesize insights, and develop practical, value-driven recommendations.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the M&A lifecycle, post-merger integration methodologies, synergy realization, operating model design, and project management principles.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear and compelling client presentations.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading workstreams, managing priorities, and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects, guide junior team members, and contribute to a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, executive correspondence, workshop facilitation, and presentation delivery.
- Highly adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced client-service environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, structured thinking, and sound judgment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and support critical business decisions.
- High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to project execution, quality assurance, and stakeholder communications.
- A high-performing, coachable team player who is committed to continuous learning, professional development, and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
- Willingness to travel as required by client engagements and to work from Deloitte offices or client premises when needed.
