ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Data Management Office within Global Banking Technology and Operations (GBTO), you will contribute to 2 major regulatory and operational domains: GDPR compliance and Data Record Management (DRM). You will support the implementation of data protection strategies and lifecycle management across wholesale banking activities, ensuring alignment with Group policies and European or local regulations.Your future scope of responsibility will cover:GDPR & Data Privacy ComplianceSupport maintenance of documentation related to GDPR, including updating the register of personal data processing activitiesAssist in reviewing risks linked to the use of personal data and international data transfersSupport the preparation and review of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) used with internal and external partnersParticipate in the review of contractual clauses related to data privacySupport preparation of regular compliance controls and reportsSupport local teams in European entities by providing information related to GDPR and local data protection rulesContribute to awareness activities such as preparing materials, updating intranet pages, or organizing training sessionsAssist in applying “Privacy by Design” and “Privacy by Default” principles during new projectsData Record Management (DRM)Participate in Group-wide DRM initiatives and support implementation of action plansSupport maintenance and update of the local data retention repositorySupport identification of applications where data should be cleaned or deleted according to retention rulesSupport IT teams with questions on data retention or archiving (e.g., during system migration or decommissioning)Assist project teams in understanding DRM rules for new solutionsContribute to the use and improvement of DRM toolsHelp to promote a strong DRM culture within the organization, including preparing awareness sessions for Data ChampionsProfile requiredYou hold a university degree, preferably in business, administration, economics, finance, or lawYou are at an early stage of your career; no prior professional experience is required, although participation in a traineeship at an international financial institution is considered an assetYou have a basic understanding of GDPR compliance, data governance principles, and other privacy-related framework and you possess foundational knowledge of Schrems II, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and international data transfer regulationsYou are fluent in English, which is mandatory in an international working environmentFamiliarity with IT systems, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and data lifecycle management is an advantageWhy join usYour future with Societe Generale will include:Work in a pleasant atmosphere as part of an international team in a brand-new office in the centre of Warsaw, designed with facilities for people with disabilitiesAn active role in an international structure and the opportunity for growthAccess to educational platforms and language coursesStabilityCompetitive salary based on seniority and skillsSupport in quick adaptation in the companyExtraordinary health package with extensive dental careHybrid work (2 days per week from home) and one-time bonus for home office equipmentEven more benefits such as meal allowance, holiday fund, sports card and insurance*Please be informed that we will be accepting only resumes in English.Business insightAt Société Générale, we are convinced that people are drivers of change, and that the world of tomorrow will be shaped by all their initiatives, from the smallest to the most ambitious.Whether you’re joining us for a period of months, years or your entire career, together we can have a positive impact on the future.
