Responsibilities JOB DESCRIPTIONFUNCTIONAL TITLE Analyst DEPARTMENT Operations PROCESS SGPMA Accounting and ReconciliationPOSITION REPORTS TO Team LeadPRIMARY OBJECTIVES:Manage the day-to-day process of cash reconciliation and all the accounting processes related to the equities business.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Geographical span:Bank entities supported in Asian, European and America Zones.Duties• Should have strong knowledge of financial securities and markets (Global Markets)• Should be able to perform Cash reconciliation, follow up on any breaks and unreconciled items until it is cleared.• Escalate unresolved issues to management as required.• To prepare vouchers, raising invoices and input accounting entries.• Basic understanding of Month-end Substantiation. • Actively manage the controls so that there is no financial / reputational damage.• Basic understanding on accounting process and trade lifecycle. • Document any updates or changes to formal procedures and process.• Ability to liaise with various internal stakeholders, namely FO Traders, PCG, Risk, Accounting & Rec, and other MO teams.• Ensure timely resolution of process issues, queries, and escalations. • Identify process improvement opportunities/projects.• Assist in technology revamp projects, testing the release of new systems/enhancements. • Ensure that policies, procedures, best practices, mission, and objectives set by management are adhered to.• Ad-hoc duties that may be assigned by team lead/management.KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:• Hand on experience in securities processing, Settlements, Instruction set ups.• A professional accounting qualification or an accounting degree.• Good communication skills. Fluent in spoken and written English.
