ResponsibilitiesWe are currently recruiting for an Analyst to join our Financing & Advisory Group based in Sydney, Australia to support the origination and execution activities across a broad range of structured finance transactions. The candidate will work with various business lines within Financing & Advisory such as Mining, Metals, Infrastructure, Digital, Energy and Real Estate. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build close relationships with the teams onshore and within the organization more broadly on a regional and global basis.  This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-paced, results focused, global organization that values diversity.Major Accountabilities/Principal ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities include:Supporting the interrogation of financial models for financing and advisory mandates, including running sensitivities, performing reasonableness checks, and ensuring model integrity under supervisionProviding day to day transaction support including structuring, pricing, preparing of credit applications, undertaking detailed financial analysis and due diligence analysis and assisting the deal team leader to provide best-in-class lending and advisory services to the client baseThe ability to prepare, customize, optimize and maintain the financial model supporting financial advisory mandates, including creating and running financial scenarios and sensitivities, will be considered favorablyBuilding and maintaining financial models and analyses, and supporting senior team members in reviewing modelling outputs prepared by junior resources where requiredStaying abreast of developments across different sectors, as well as current transactions and opportunities in the marketRespecting all relevant compliance practices and other internal requirements in relation to the execution of advisory & lending transactionsManaging internal processes relating to the lending and advisory business (e.g. updating databases, credit application writing, completing relevant internal system-based processes)Assisting with the identification of potential marketing and origination opportunities by preparing pitch materials, conducting preliminary financial analysis, and reviewing feasibility studies and financial modelsStarting to establish a network of contacts at key clients and prospective clients Profile requiredQualifications, Experience & Knowledge RequiredUniversity degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law) or a professional financial qualificationExperience in structured finance environment utilizing similar tools, processes and procedures will be favorably considered Proven ability to succeed in a similar or related role, demonstrated through relevant projects, responsibilities, or achievements. Post graduate qualifications considered favorablyAdvanced Microsoft Excel including strong financial modelling skillsExperience in generating pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients’ needsStrong numerical skills with an advanced understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements and cashflowsBehavioral Competencies RequiredAbility to contribute to the team’s efforts to build and maintain trusted client relationshipsConsistency and rigour in following up on clients’ needs and act upon team’s prioritiesDisplay a sense of ownership in the business and pride in the quality and accuracy of work presented internally and transactions executed for clientsDiscipline and team collaboration to develop business adapted to clients’ and markets’ needsA self-starter with the ability to priorities tasks and to manage competing deadlines, and to deliver on team’s prioritiesExperience of working (including remotely) with people with diverse, international backgrounds and acting on team prioritiesFunctional RelationshipsInternal: staff from business divisions and support functions locally, regionally and globally      External: clients, prospects and external advisors (e.g. lenders, legal counsel, technical consultants)Behavioral SkillsClient - Client  focus: I put long term relationship with our clients at the center of my actions, whatever my positionClient - Understanding and Respect: I listen to clients and colleagues in order to understand and anticipate their needsCommitment - Sustainability: I strive to develop my skills and knowledgeTeam Spirit - Synergies: I make cooperation with colleagues in and outside my team a priorityTeam Spirit - Collective mindset: I favour the team’s interest over my own resultsInnovation - Simplification: I make things & ideas simple Why join usBusiness insightOur Culture:At Societe Generale, we live by our 4 core values of commitment, responsibility, team spirit and innovation.
