ResponsibilitiesRole PurposeAs Regional Corporate Secretary for the Asia Pacific region, the role is in charge of ensuring that Group governance standards are respected and that alignment across legal entities in the region is maintained. The position also carries specific responsibilities related to the Group’s legal entities in Hong Kong.Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Responsibilities (Asia Pacific) As the Corporate Officer Correspondent for the Asia Business Unit, the role is responsible to:Ensure the application of Group governance rules, in close coordination with the Corporate Life Managers of local entities, who are responsible for day‑to‑day corporate governance.Ensure compliance with Group rules relating to the composition, functioning, and diversity of boards and committees.Act as the primary contact point for the Group tool used to monitor investments, securities, and the mandates of corporate officers.Conduct the annual renewal exercise for Legal Entity Identifiers (LEIs) for legal entities within the Asia Business Unit.Act as Power Correspondent for the Asia Business Unit, including for the coordination, monitoring, and governance of authority delegations across the Asia Pacific region.Collaborate closely with the Group SEGL/CAO team in Paris, remain up to date on Group governance developments, and ensure their timely implementation across Asia Pacific.Proactively raise Asia Pacific‑specific governance matters to the Group to ensure awareness and alignment.Provide support to the Head of CAO for the Asia Business Unit on regional CAO initiatives.Provide support to other Asia entities as necessary (e.g., training, sharing templates, and promoting best practices).Local Responsibilities (Hong Kong)Perform corporate secretariat duties for SG Hong Kong entities, including ensuring compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.Manage corporate registrations and filings, liaise with the named external corporate secretary as required and support on related administrative tasks.Support legalization and notarial matters in Hong Kong.Assist in the preparation of selected regulatory responses, in coordination with the local entity COO, the Finance, and the Compliance teams.Conduct regulatory monitoring on corporate governance matters in Hong Kong and escalate relevant developments to the local Regulatory Watch Committee (LRCC).Profile requiredDegree in law, in accounting, or in other relevant academic subjectsExtensive relevant professional experience in corporate secretariat / corporate governance, with legal (especially in Hong Kong company law) and some basic accounting knowledge. Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute membership and prior experience in multi-jurisdictional corporate governance are a plus.Fluent in EnglishProficiency in Cantonese is a strong advantage; capabilities in Putonghua are a plusGood knowledge of ExcelAbility to work independently while respecting deadlinesHigh attention to detail.
