ResponsibilitiesSociete Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has been active in Ireland for over 20 years and is a leading player in servicing Irish domiciled and offshore collective investment vehicles. We act locally as fund administrator and depositary for a wide range of international clients who manage schemes from UCITS to AIFs including private equity and real estate structures, hedge funds and special purpose vehiclesReporting to the Transfer Agency Manager with strong interactions with senior management and the Risk & Compliance department, the Investor KYC / AML Officer is responsible for, amongst other things:performing KYC / AML checks on shareholders of the client funds;Investigating and responding to investor and client queries;Assisting with the annual remediation exercise on existing Client files in line with SGSS periodic review policy;Maintaining the data integrity of investor data in the TA SystemAssisting in the oversight of any outsourced tasks such as AML/KYI reviews, technical investor account opening, daily controls, monthly KPI reviewAssisting with due diligence exercises and MLRO / client visits / sampling.and, implementing and maintaining robust processes for the function covered.Summary of responsibilitiesReview of account opening documentation including analytical risk assessment for new client accounts within agreed time framesSupport the Registration, Compliance and Risk team in the resolution of KYC/AML casesLiaise with Compliance Officers of clients in case of escalation (MANCOs)Performing negative media searches on Investor accountsInvestigating and reporting high-risk clients, including Politically Exposed Persons, collecting all the necessary documentation to complete the client fileReview and respond to KYC/AML related queries across all clients within agreed time framesRun, review and update KYC/AML reports and provide these reports internally and externally to Clients and Regulatory AuthoritiesImplement and keep up to date procedures that ensure the team is compliant with all KYC/AML and Financial Crimes prevention policiesContribute to and prepare/discuss AML reviews as required by Compliance and by the businessManage relationships and provide support to internal stakeholders; Transfer Agency & Compliance departments, ClientsPerforming investigations where there are ML/CTF suspicions regarding Clients and escalating findings clearly and concisely for internal review by Compliance & MLROProfile requiredThe successful candidate should demonstrate:An interest in financial services, compliance, anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime prevention.A basic understanding of AML, KYC, FATCA and CRS requirements, or a willingness and ability to learn quickly.An interest in the Irish and European regulatory environment, particularly as it relates to financial services and investment funds.A basic understanding of investment funds and fund administration would be advantageous.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.A conscientious and professional approach to work, with a high level of accuracy.The ability to follow procedures, policies and regulatory requirements.A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and openness to feedback.The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.Previous internship, work experience or academic exposure within financial services, compliance, risk, legal or a related field would be advantageous, but is not essential.Fluent English is essential.
