OneFinance 2026 is a Group-level Finance Transformation Program active across 8+ countries and 30+ legal entities within the Generali Group. Built on SAP S/4HANA as its core ERP, the program integrates Ivalua (P2P), ServiceNow (financial request management), Tagetik (CPM/consolidation), and SAP FPSL/GLPD for IFRS 17/9 compliance. Delivered in partnership with Accenture and PwC, it is one of the most strategically significant and technically complex IT programs currently active within the Group.
With multiple country go-lives underway and the CEE and Italy waves in active delivery, quality and testing governance are among the most critical success factors of the program. Each rollout involves full end-to-end validation across SAP core, satellite integrations, and business processes spanning Finance, Procurement, and Shared Services.
We are looking for a senior Test Manager to own the end-to-end testing strategy for OneFinance 2026 and lead a dedicated Test Management team. This is not a coordination-only role: you will be accountable for test strategy design, test automation development (including AI-assisted approaches), and the quality gate governance that determines readiness for each country go-live.
You will operate across all test phases — SIT, Pre-UAT, UAT, and E2E — and work closely with functional workstream leads (FI/CO, P2P), integration teams, business stakeholders, and the IT Program Director. You will also be responsible for building and evolving the test automation capability within the program, leveraging modern tooling and AI-augmented test case generation and execution.
- Test Strategy & Governance: Define, own, and continuously evolve the program-level test strategy covering all phases: System Integration Testing (SIT), Pre-UAT, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End-to-End (E2E). Establish quality gates, entry/exit criteria, and testing KPIs for each country go-live. Ensure alignment between test scope and functional design across all workstreams.
- Test Team Leadership: Build, lead, and coordinate a team of test analysts and automation engineers embedded within the OneFinance delivery structure. Assign ownership of test areas by workstream (FI/CO, P2P, integrations), manage capacity across parallel country rollouts, and maintain consistent standards and practices across the team.
- Test Automation & AI-Assisted Testing: Drive the design and development of an automation framework suited to the SAP S/4HANA and integration landscape of the program. Champion AI-assisted approaches for test case generation, regression suite maintenance, and defect pattern analysis. Define the tooling strategy and ensure automation coverage scales with each country rollout.
- SIT Coordination: Plan and coordinate System Integration Testing across all functional workstreams and integration points — SAP to Ivalua, ServiceNow, Tagetik, and FPSL/GLPD. Collaborate with technical architects and integration leads to define interface test scenarios. Track defect resolution and manage test cycles through to sign-off.
- UAT & Business Readiness: Coordinate UAT execution with Finance and Procurement business stakeholders across rollout countries. Support the preparation of business test scripts, manage UAT environments, and act as the primary interface between the IT delivery team and business testers. Ensure UAT outcomes are documented and sign-off is formally governed.
- E2E Testing: Design and execute End-to-End test scenarios validating cross-process flows spanning Procurement, Finance, and Reporting — including the Ivalua-to-SAP-to-Tagetik chain and period-closing scenarios. Ensure E2E coverage reflects real operational conditions for each country's legal entity and chart of accounts configuration.
- Defect Management & Reporting: Own the defect management process end-to-end: triage, prioritization, resolution tracking, and trend analysis. Produce clear, executive-ready test status reports for the Program Director and senior stakeholders, including go/no-go readiness assessments ahead of each country cutover.
- Test Environment & Data Management: Coordinate with SAP Basis and infrastructure teams to ensure test environments are available, stable, and correctly configured for each test phase. Define and govern the test data strategy, ensuring data sets are representative of country-specific configurations and compliance requirements (IFRS 17/9, local GAAP).
- Tooling & Process Standardization: Select, implement, and govern the test management tooling used across the program. Standardize test processes, templates, and documentation practices across all country rollouts. Contribute to the program quality framework and lessons-learned repository.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in IT test management, including at least 2 years in a lead role with direct team management responsibility.
- Proven track record of owning end-to-end test strategy across multiple phases (SIT, UAT, E2E) in large-scale, multi-country ERP or Finance transformation programs.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks; ability to lead automation engineers and define automation strategy at program level.
- Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted testing: AI-generated test cases, intelligent regression selection, or ML-based defect analysis.
- Strong expertise in defect management, quality gate governance, and go-live readiness assessment.
- Experience managing test environments and test data strategies in complex, integration-heavy landscapes.
- Excellent stakeholder management: able to communicate test status and risk clearly to both IT and business audiences, including senior leadership.
- Proven ability to lead distributed, cross-functional teams in an international and multicultural environment.
- English at C1 level or above (working language of the program); Italian required.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functional processes (FI, CO, or MM) sufficient to validate test scenario coverage and challenge functional teams on scope gaps.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps for test management, pipeline integration, and automated test execution in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with SAP testing tools such as SAP Solution Manager (CBTA), or equivalent enterprise automation platforms.
- Exposure to insurance industry processes and regulatory requirements (IFRS 17/9) and their implications for UAT and compliance testing.
- ISTQB certification at Advanced Level Test Manager or equivalent.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Engineering, or a related discipline.
