We are looking for a talented Mainframe Security & IAM Architect to join our Identity & Access Security team. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of Identity & Access Management services within complex enterprise environments, with a strong focus on IBM z/OS Mainframe Security, RACF governance, and Identity Governance solutions.
This is a unique opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborating with security, infrastructure, and IAM teams across multiple countries while helping to strengthen Generali's security posture.
Your Role:
As a Mainframe Security & IAM Architect, you will support the design, governance, and continuous improvement of Mainframe Identity & Access Management services, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient access management processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Solution Support
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of RACF-based IAM solutions across multi-country environments.
- Support the design of access models, roles, and authorization structures.
- Collaborate with teams responsible for:IAM platforms and integration initiatives, SIEM and security monitoring solutions.
- Promote the adoption of consistent security standards and configurations across environments.
- Security Governance & Compliance: Support compliance and audit activities, including internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to access certification campaigns and privileged account reviews.
- Assist in audit evidence collection, reporting, and remediation tracking.
- Ensure alignment with governance and security policies.
Mainframe IAM Service Management:
- Support the lifecycle management of Mainframe IAM services.
- Monitor service performance, backlog activities, and SLA adherence.
- Participate in the maintenance and optimization of processes and workflows, including ServiceNow-based processes.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancement and operational efficiency.
Projects & Technology Evolution:
- Participate in strategic projects related to Mainframe Security and RACF environments.
- Support migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives involving RACF administration tools.
- Contribute to project planning, effort estimation, and solution implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimization initiatives across the IAM landscape.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a technical expert on Mainframe IAM and RACF topics.
- Work closely with:Infrastructure Security teams
- IAM Governance teams
- Application and Technology teams
- Support cross-functional collaboration to achieve security and operational objectives.
What We Are Looking For:
- Professional Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in:Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Mainframe Security / RACF
- Identity Governance
- Experience within:Enterprise-scale organizations
- Audit and compliance environments
- International and distributed teams
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS Mainframe environments
- Advanced RACF administration and governance
- Hands-on experience with IBM zSecure and RACF toolsets
- Experience with IAM processes and technologies
- Knowledge of SIEM integrations and security monitoring
- Understanding of audit and compliance frameworks
- Experience with one or more of: SailPoint, CyberArk, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
- Italian language skills are considered a plus
