Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results. The incumbent will be part of VCA geographic team cluster of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand markets (SMT), and will be responsible for consulting engagements with Visa's clients in the three markets. The team is involved in a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to our clients that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management, digital strategy and data-driven portfolio management decisions. What a Senior Manager does at Visa:
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services, data analytics and solutions to our clients that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to undertake the delivery and execution of consulting engagements for Visa clients in Thailand, enabling portfolio growth and improved profitability in clients’ payment card business. As a Senior Manager you will be leading the delivery and execution of Visa Consulting and Analytics engagements for clients in Thailand.
In this role, you are expected to:
- Cultivate relationship with Visa’s clients and partners - Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants & Fintech firms, by being strategically focused, optimize client performance and implement recommendations in areas of customer life cycle management, and new product development and launches.
- Have oversight, project management responsibility, and a deeper level of involvement in the major long term strategic engagements.
- Drive client conversations with the client working team, execute and embed our solutions within the client’s environment. Building content and engagement delivery involves strong project management skills.
- Work cross-functionally with other Visa teams to bring a holistic solution to our clients leveraging Visa’s rich value-added services (VAS) from functions such as Marketing, Products, Risk, and Merchant Solutions.
- Develop propositions by closely working with Account Executives in managing the scope of work and project timelines
- Work across advisory practices (Risk, Digital, Portfolio Optimization, Merchants) to execute engagements across the VCA verticals. This role reports to the Head of VCA for Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. We want to bring this expertise closer to our clients by having a Manager to drive, execute, and support projects for the Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand (SMT) cluster. We are a global organization leveraging global expertise and best practice with local knowledge and understanding of our client partners. This enables us to deepen our partnership with our clients and bring value to their business.
Projects you will be a part of:
- As part of the team you will get opportunity to work on strategically important projects for clients.
- As an example, you might be working with an issuer client to assess opportunities across cardholder lifecycle, conduct gap assessment and determine strategy or provide best practice recommendation to the Bank.
- You will bring to life data analytics solutions and propensity models built by the Data Science team to ensure clients find value to take action such as running marketing campaigns to drive payment card activation and usage, changing policies or processes, launching new products, opening new channels, among other things.
- You will be the project manager of several engagements across SMT, working with the clients’ teams in providing guidance and supporting the teams in executing our solutions.
- You will be collaborating closely with VCA’s data scientists to jointly produce insights on analyses.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

What will also help:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in retail banking or financial services consulting, with most of that time in cards and payments and/or closely related industries
- Experience in key issuer business areas, such as portfolio management, marketing, product management, operations, risk management, for both credit and debit cards
- Consulting experience preferred with payments, project management and/or process re-engineering credentials preferred
- In-market experience and/or knowledge of local culture and industry trends
- An understanding of statistical analysis, modeling, scoring schemes, etc.
