About the Job
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
The Global Leadership Analytics and Talent team oversees all talent operations and compensation for Bain's core leadership. You'll join the product team within this broader function, contributing to an evolving multi-module product suite that supports end-to-end talent operations processes - and helping shape cutting-edge solutions that enable smoother workflows and drive meaningful talent outcomes.
WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Business Systems Analyst on this product team, you'll support the Product Owners, working alongside designers, and engineers to connect product strategy with technical delivery. You'll contribute to high-impact solutions by supporting product operations, leading analysis, and collaborating on key deliverables.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operations
- Develop and maintain product documentation to keep the engineering team equipped with current, accurate information
- Support Product Owners in translating user requests into actionable work items, including user stories, process documentation, flow diagrams, and other supporting materials
- Test routine updates and enhancements to validate functionality and ensure a user-friendly experience
- Provide hands-on support during peak periods (e.g., year-end processes) by triaging user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and escalating where appropriate via a shared support inbox
- Manage system administration during active usage periods
- Collaborate with technical teams and third parties to manage delivery effectively
- Contribute to the agile development process by actively participating in all Scrum events
- Develop expertise in Bain's leadership assessment processes and systems - and apply that knowledge to independently address internal customer questions
Analysis
- Analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design solutions that simplify and automate routine product tasks
- Deliver data-driven insights to support product team decisions, including analysis of usage trends, user adoption patterns, and growth opportunities
ABOUT YOU
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1-3+ years of experience in business analysis, technical program/project coordination, operations, or a similar role
- Comfort adopting new tools (including AI) and using them effectively to optimize workflows and processes
- Ability to understand complex processes, work with emerging technologies, and problem-solve across parallel workstreams
- Practical experience gathering user needs and defining, documenting, and validating requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with genuine curiosity about understanding and addressing customer needs
- Familiarity with any of these is a plus: Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI is a plus
