Your role

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to work on the initiatives of the Data Foundation within the AM Chief Data office. In this role your high-level responsibilities will be:
- Business Analysis: Collaborate with key stakeholders across UBS Asset Management to analyze business requirements and translate them into structured specifications and user stories.
- As-Is Process & Data Flow Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of current data flows, processes, and systems.
- Target Operating Model & Data Architecture Design: Work closely with data SMEs and architects to develop the target operating model and data architecture.
- Data Analytics & Insights: Leverage data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data to improve data quality.
- Documentation & User Support: Ensure all data systems and processes are well-documented, including process flows and drive user acceptance testing.
- Consumer onboarding : Analyze consumer data usage patterns and lead onboarding initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions to new platforms.

Your team
You’ll be working in the Data Platform Change team in the AM Chief Data Office based in Zurich and Pune. CDO is committed to making data a strategic asset and a value-adding partner for the entire Asset Management organization.
Your expertise
- Proven Experience: 8-10 years as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Product Owner, ideally within the financial industry, with a focus on Asset Management.
- Proficiency in SQL / Ms Excel / Other tools: Strong command of SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting. Strong hold on Ms Excel and other tools for data analysis would be valuable.
- Complex data handling: Experience of working with complex datasets to support decision-making and data architecture design.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable insights.
- Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. Flexible and committed team player with a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills, able to build collaborative relationships
- Ability to balance numerous tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Visionary Mindset: Passion for innovation and cutting-edge technologies, particularly in driving the adoption of AI and GenAI in the data space.
- You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
