In the Cadetship program, you’ll have the chance to join one of our teams within UBS. You’ll continue working toward your university degree while getting the opportunity to be a real member of our team. You'll work alongside our experts, gaining insights into the industry, our clients, our firm, and a specific area of interest. You’ll also develop new skills and expand your network.Your expertise
We are looking for current Year 12 students who:• Show an interest in banking and financial services
• Maintain consistent academic effort and achievement at school
• Are predicted to achieve an ATAR of 85+
• Can analyze a problem, take a view, and come to a decision
• Communicate confidently
• Demonstrate drive and resilience
• Are team players
• Have work experience (paid or unpaid)
• Demonstrate accountability and integrity
We’re looking for someone who’s curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving. It’s important to have an interest in the financial industry. We want to see what makes you unique and discover what you can bring to our team.
Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or excelled and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.

Your program
The program will start on 1 February 2027. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations.Application process
Please submit your full application by 31 July 2026 (AEST). Please apply as soon as you can, but rest assured that we will review all applications up until the closing deadline.In your application you will need to submit:
• Your CV or resume, which should include a portrait photo (e.g. your high school photo).
• A completed Reference form filled out by your career advisor, year coordinator, or principal, which must include your predicted ATAR. You can download this form from the UBS Cadetship website. Once it is filled out, attach it to your UBS Cadetship application, or ask your school representative to email the completed form directly to sh-aus-cadetship-program@ubs.com
• Your academic results from the end of Year 11.
When applying for the UBS Cadetship, the following four questions will appear and require answers to (max. 300 words per answer for Q1, Q2 & Q3):
1. Who are you and why are you interested in the UBS Cadetship Program?
2. What extracurricular activity or achievement are you most proud of and why?
3. Why do you think a cadetship with UBS is valuable at this stage in your life?
4. What hiring area are you interested in and why?

Once you submit the above, you'll receive instructions to complete online assessments and if you pass the online assessments you will then be invited to complete a video interview.
All components are to be completed by 31 July.
To be eligible for the UBS Cadetship Program, you must be currently in Year 12 and note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must hold a Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
