We are looking for an experienced and strategic Consumer Finance & Auto Finance Director to lead our Consumer Finance and Auto Finance business. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing business, marketing, pricing, and product strategies in line with the overall objectives of the Retail and Private Banking Group. You will play a key role in driving sustainable growth, coordinating strategic initiatives across relevant business units, and ensuring that annual targets and budgets are achieved through an integrated and collaborative approach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Significant leadership experience (min 10 years) in retail banking, consumer finance, auto finance, lending, product management, or related financial services functions.
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending products, pricing, profitability, budgeting, and financial performance management.
- Solid understanding of auto finance ecosystems, dealer/channel structures, and lending dynamics.
- Experience in developing and executing product, pricing, marketing, and growth strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and financial data.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing action plans in line with the strategic priorities of the Retail and Private Banking Group.
- Contribute to Asset & Liability Management (ALM) discussions and relevant committees, supporting the alignment of balance sheet and treasury strategies with business objectives.
- Monitor developments and trends in the banking industry, with a particular focus on retail banking, consumer lending, and auto finance, and translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead the development and coordination of strategic projects and initiatives.
- Develop and execute retail banking marketing strategies across product, channel, pricing, and distribution, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s overall strategic and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate closely with other marketing teams, business units, and group companies to create synergies and coordinate initiatives aimed at achieving sales and growth targets.
- Work with ALM and relevant stakeholders to develop effective and competitive pricing strategies in line with the Bank’s overall financial and commercial objectives.
- Lead the budgeting and performance management processes for consumer loans, working closely with relevant business units to set targets, monitor performance, and drive achievement of business objectives.
- Lead the budgeting, strategic planning, and performance monitoring of auto finance activities, including dealer/channel-based lending, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee and coordinate product development initiatives in line with marketing and business strategies, with a focus on improving product efficacy, customer value proposition, process effectiveness, and service quality.
- Monitor business performance against agreed targets and take proactive actions to address gaps and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
