Our Business Intelligence and Process Re-engineering group partners with Operations to deliver automation solutions for operational challenges. We partner with Citi’s innovation labs to drive optimization, playing a crucial role in transforming our operating model.
Our Technology partners deliver innovative products and solutions by developing a wide range of applications supporting Operations, Change, Design, and Implementation. We are transforming our technology and service delivery by aligning our vision, fostering a modern culture, aggressively retiring legacy systems, and adopting micro-based containerized cloud environments.

The Market Ops Transformation team was formed to support stakeholders within Operations and across the bank, to design and deliver a strategic multi-year transformation program. We are focused on providing the program and project management, business analysis and process re‑engineering and operate in a fast‑paced but robust control environment. The role we are recruiting for is a hybrid Business Analyst / Project Manager permanent role, based in Pune. You will be part of the Futures & Derivatives Clearing (FDC) and Equities Operations Process Engineering Team, a key component of the Markets Ops Transformation organization. The team drives strategic transformation and delivers Target Operating Models for Equities Operations in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
What we’ll need from you:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Articulate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Collect, analyse and interpret data to inform project decisions and business recommendations. Experience with data visualisation tools is a plus.
- Problem‑Solving Abilities: Identify, analyse and develop creative, impactful solutions for complex business problems.
- Requirements Elicitation and Documentation: Expertly elicit, document, and translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications.
- Project Management Fundamentals: Apply sound project management methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and monitor projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage expectations, build strong relationships, and address concerns across all stakeholder groups.
- Operations Knowledge: Strong understanding of business operations, processes, and workflows, with an ability to drive operational improvements.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in project management software (e.g. Jira, Confluence), MS Office Suite, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and business intelligence platforms.

Project Management and Business Analysis experience
Equities knowledge (Delta 1, Synthetic Prime, Prime Brokerage, Stock Borrow and Loan, Cash Equities (program trading, electronic trading and high touch), Equities Derivatives) preferred
Regulatory Reporting experience a plus
3 - 5 years operations experience (preferably in banking)
Critical thinking and problem solving
Working knowledge of both Waterfall & Agile project lifecycles.

- The core responsibilities of the Project Manager and Business Analyst include but not limited to the following:
- Develop and manage project plans, define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring that project deliverables are met and proper evidence provided.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing and implementing effective mitigation and contingency plans.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters, requirements, RAID logs, and status reports.
- Facilitate and lead project meetings, including kick‑offs, status updates, working groups and governance forums, to ensure clear and consistent communication among all project participants.
- Conduct business and data analysis to document business and operational processes and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain detailed process maps, use cases to support business and functional requirements.
- Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in designing enhanced workflows.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.
- Prepare senior level presentations to communicate project updates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance and other functions to ensure successful project implementation.
