Join our growing global Securities Finance & Collateral Management team in Zurich.
We are part of our market-leading Structured Solutions unit, running global top-class trading and distribution operations in Structured Notes and Warrants products.
We are a tech-savvy, agile and highly collaborative team responsible for the bank's Securities Lending and Collateral Management activities across multiple entities throughout the Vontobel Group and with our partners.
Unlike heavier organisations where responsibilities are divided across multiple departments, our team integrates the full securities financing value chain. This creates a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure, take ownership and make a visible impact on the future direction of the business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining market expertise, technology and commercial thinking to help build the next generation of our Securities Finance business.
Your role:
- Managing Securities Lending trading activities, including inventory management, pricing, execution and counterparty interaction
- Developing and expanding the bank's Securities Lending programme by working directly with institutional asset owners and, together with our Relationship Managers, identifying opportunities to increase participation from private banking clients and grow lendable asset pools
- Playing a key role in the deployment of our upcoming cutting-edge front-to-back Securities Finance platform
- Building long-term relationships with institutional clients, counterparties, custodians, central counterparties, triparty agents and other market infrastructure providers
- Supporting Collateral Management activities across OTC derivatives, listed derivatives and Securities Lending transactions, ensuring efficient collateral allocation, funding and liquidity management
- Contributing to Securities Finance trade support and lifecycle management, including the timely resolution of exceptions and complex operational events
- Collaborating closely with Trading, Treasury, Risk, Legal, Operations and Technology to deliver scalable and efficient business solutions
You bring:
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Solid experience in Securities Lending Trading and/or Sales including beneficial owner relationship management
- Solid experience in Collateral Management across OTC derivatives, listed derivatives and securities financing transactions
- Proven technical affinity and experience with coding and agentic tools
- Market savviness and ecosystem knowledge
- Appetite for the bigger picture, ideas to take the franchise further, openness and willingness for rapid career evolution
- Affinity for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a willingness to embrace AI-enabled tools and ways of working
The ideal candidate combines a commercial mindset with a hands-on technical approach. You are equally comfortable discussing a new Securities Lending opportunity with a client, owning the launch of a new market, evaluating a new trading platform or improving an internal process or stepping in to resolve a complex operational issue at short notice.
