Business Line
Securities Asia executes its clients’ orders through its own Broker seats in HKEX. Upon execution of each order, a transaction contract is created between Securities Asia and the client. Sec ASIA BO is responsible for clearing and settling those trades executed via Sec ASIA and informing the relevant counterparties in case of disagreement.
Direct Responsibilities
Settlements
- Hands on experience in end-to-end Settlement processing especially Asia Equity Markets and Stock Connect.
- Liaising with overseas brokers/custodians over trade-pre-matching issues.
- Reducing fails and/or potential fails by means of pairing off or partialize down deliveries.
- Analyzing reasons for various client fails and providing regular heads up to the respective desk on time .
- Communicating with clients and internal teams to ensure all the trades are settled on time and accurate.
- Should be capable to produce error free work consistently.
- Timely resolution of Nostro and depot breaks.
- Updating static data information at back end related systems to ensure STP .
- Follow up outstanding trades and ensure correctness of records are updated in EOD and daily checklists.
- Experience in handling BUYIN’s, irregular settlement trades and fail fee .
- Knowledge on collateral and stock lending.
- Able to handle email query’s and responding to client within the given TAT.
- Regularly updating SOP as and when there are changes or add on for the respective Markets.
- Proficient in Swift messages (settlement) .
Contributing Responsibilities
- Escalation & Reporting process: Internal rules of reporting and escalation to Ops and FO need to be known.
- Strong Client Focus: Capacity to work with various clients and FO. Need to be sensitive about the rationale of their requests and be proactive when replying to them.
- Work as partnership while consistently keeping an independent mindset.
