This position is located in the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) in Turin, Italy. The incumbent will be under the direct supervision of the Programme Management Officer. For more information on UNICRI, please visit the website: www.unicri.it.

Work Experience

A minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience in administration, project support, finance, budget, or related operational support functions is required. The minimum number of years of relevant experience is reduced to one (1) for candidates with a first-level university degree or higher. Work experience supporting the organization of workshops, conferences, meetings, and related logistical arrangements is desirable. Work experience in grant management, financial monitoring, budget implementation, or processing administrative and financial transactions is desirable. Work experience using an ERP system (such as SAP/Umoja) is desirable Work experience in the United Nations Common System or similar large international organisations is desirable.

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this job opening, English is required. Italian is desirable. This position is funded from extra-budgetary resources. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year and will be limited to service with UNICRI. Extension of the appointment is subject to extension of the mandate and/or the availability of funds. This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules.
