Title: GAPS Data Production Engineering Lead, VP - State Street Investment Management

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Leading other resources in the Front Office team, this role requires experience in working with business clients to understand issues impeding their day to day activities. The role operates as a platform owner, senior escalation leader, and enterprise operations authority across data, database, cloud, application support, and ITSM domains

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Incident Management -including major incidents

Team leadership -role will include oversight of other resources in region

Crafting SOP’s and training documents

Training and onboarding of new resources

Direct accountability for platforms that are:

Client‑visible and revenue‑impacting

Regulatory and audit examined

Central to trade processing, data integrity, and reporting accuracy

Responsibilities include acting as:

Senior escalation authority for P1/P2 incidents

Accountable owner for audit findings and remediation

Decision authority during production crises and risk trade‑offs

The role has includes end‑to‑end ITSM accountability across critical platforms, including:

Major Incident command and coordination

Problem management and recurrence reduction

Production change readiness and gating

Operational metrics (availability, MTTR, trends)

In addition to steady‑state operations, the role actively drives:

AI‑enabled incident triage and diagnostics

Automation of L2/L3 support workflows

Predictive and preventive operational capabilities

Required Skillset:

Understanding of and ability to use PL/SQL

Working knowledge of Autosys

Strong knowledge of Unix/linux including shell scripting

General understanding of Windows

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desirable:

15+ years of database administration, cloud and production support experience.

Experience managing production support team

Strong experience in Incident, Problem, Change, and Capacity Management.

Experience supporting mission‑critical financial applications.

Experience working within 24x7 operational support environments.

Education

Bachelors Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject preferred.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $202,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
