The World Bank’s Infrastructure Vice Presidency, part of the WBG Knowledge Bank, provides investment and advisory services for private and public sector clients across energy, mining and metals, transport, waste, and tourism sectors, and further mobilizes private sector capital from institutional investors and other financial institutions. It acts as a strategic partner to the private sector, leveraging its financial resources, deep‑stated global expertise, and ability to mitigate risk and mobilize capital to foster infrastructure development that opens markets, drives economic growth, creates jobs and improves living standards in emerging markets in the development of a wide array of infrastructure sectors.

The Energy Investments, Solutions & Impact team (KIESI) within the WBG Infrastructure Vice Presidency seeks to accelerate critical private sector investments in energy infrastructure, including by leveraging the Knowledge Bank resources to promote initiatives and innovative financing products. Our team is united by core values of Impact, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation. Together, we tackle the world’s toughest challenges, and advance social and economic inclusion.

KIESI is looking to recruit an (Associate) Investment Officer to contribute to the Energy Department’s priorities comprising development and dissemination of sector strategy and expertise, market creation and innovation, as well as supporting WBG decision‑making processes for new energy investments, management of key global client relationships, business development, and transaction execution.
