About Business line/Function
Front & Middle Applications Domain manages development and applicative maintenance services and contributes to maintaining, evolving, and migrating applications towards cloud-based platforms, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with the Group’s transformation and digital strategy.
Position Purpose
As a Java Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain backend applications while contributing to cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Develop andmaintainJava-based applications
Contribute to all Agile phases: design, development, testing, and release
Ensure code quality through code review, testing, and documentation
Support production issues and incident resolution
Implement and expose REST APIs and microservices
Contribute to cloud migration and modernization initiatives

Collaborate with international teams (e.g., Germany partners)
Share knowledge and best practices within the team
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
Use AI-assisted tools to support development and testing activities
Ensure compliance with security and development standards
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Minimum 5 yearsexperiencein Java development, including JEE projects and cloud migration/development
Solid experience in backend development (Java SE, Java EE, Spring ecosystem)
Experience with REST APIs and microservices architectures
Strong understanding of persistence frameworks (JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data)
Good knowledge of databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, T-SQL)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Experience with testing frameworks and code quality tools
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills
Specific Qualifications
Minimum 5years’experience in Java development
Experience in Agile development environments
Experience in cloud / microservices architectures
Fluent English (writtenandspoken) – mandatory

Technical Skills
Skill 1– Backend development: Java SE (8, 11), Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring Core, AOP, Dependency Injection (CDI)
Skill 2– Persistence layer: JPA (Hibernate), JTA, Spring Data
Skill 3– Web services: REST APIs (JAX-RS / Spring MVC)
Skill 4– Cloud and microservices(nice to have): Microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, IBM Cloud
Skill 5– Development ecosystem: JBoss, SQL / PostgreSQL, T-SQL, Linux basics Build & tools: Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus Testing: JUnit, Mockito,PowerMock Version control: Git
