Job Summary
You will be responsible for driving financial planning and forecasting processes, preparing management expense budgets, and analyzing and evaluating financial results and key operational metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the financial planning process, including annual budgeting and monthly forecasting.
- Review the reasonableness of the underlying assumptions used for planning projections and business cases.
- Ensure the accuracy of monthly management reports and presentation materials for senior management, regional offices, the Board, and Board Committees.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, highlight significant deviations, and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.
- Understand and analyze key business drivers to validate forecasts and support business functions in making data-driven decisions and strategies.
- Implement appropriate metrics to monitor performance against forecasts and plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and targets.
- Perform regular expense analysis and collaborate with the Actuarial team to update expense methodologies, including support for IFRS 17 attributable expense analysis.
- Support Finance initiatives, including benchmarking studies, IT reporting support, and other initiatives rolled out by Allianz Group.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Professional Qualifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.), or equivalent professional qualifications.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably with an audit background.
- Experience in the insurance industry is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage internal stakeholders and work effectively across functions.
- Meticulous, with strong analytical skills and sound commercial acumen.
- Positive working attitude, committed and driven to meet deadlines and targets.
- Familiar with the use of ChatGPT for tasks simplification.
