Analyst Network Management - Global custody operations & regulatory oversight in Toronto.

Apply now to join RBC's Investor Services team and shape global agent bank network management.

What is the opportunity?

Network Management within RBC Investor Services is responsible for the appointment, oversight and ongoing management of the agent bank network across more than 90 markets globally. The team works at the intersection of custody operations, regulatory change, post-trade market structure and client service, with close collaboration across Investor Services, Product, Market Services and Operations.

What will you do?

Analyze agent bank fee structures, AUC movements, transaction volumes and cost drivers across the network, producing work that directly informs fee negotiations, bank selection decisions and strategic reviews.

Build and maintain analytical models to support ongoing network performance monitoring, including investment trend analysis, market share movements and transaction-to-fee ratios.

Monitor regulatory and market developments across the network, including post-trade reform, settlement infrastructure changes and evolving custody frameworks (e.g. T+1 settlement, MiKaDiv, digital asset custody regulation), and translate findings into briefings, client communications and internal recommendations.

Track industry frameworks and documentation standards relevant to subcustodian oversight (e.g. AFME DDQ) and contribute to materials that inform market entry, exit and ongoing positioning decisions.

Develop and apply judgement in the ongoing assessment of agent bank relationships, evaluating credit risk, regulatory standing and operational capability to inform RBCIS's comfort with risk across individual banks and markets.

Maintain network management policies, frameworks and internal documentation in line with governance and compliance requirements, and act as a point of contact for audit and regulatory reporting items.

Contribute to RFP and tender processes, including drafting questionnaires, developing evaluation criteria and scoring responses to support agent bank selection and review.

Act as a day-to-day point of contact for Network Management service queries from other RBC entities, including management of quarterly invoicing.
