WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Build data pipelines and reports that transform financial data reporting at RBC Insurance
Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to process structured and unstructured data
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data processing
Develop Python programs and perform advanced data analytics
Contribute to the build-out of enterprise-scale Data & Analytics as a Service (DAaaS) initiatives
Work on projects that enable LLM self-service capabilities for business users
Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance throughout the transformation process
Collaborate with Data Architects and Analysts to define data models and transformations
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
3+ years of experience in SQL and Python
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP)
Experience transforming enterprise-level data at scale, including datasets with billions of records
Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing is a strong asset
Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
Experience with Data Warehouse design and Data Modelling
Computer Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent experience
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Nice to Have:
Machine learning and statistical knowledge
Software engineering project experience
Hackathon or Kaggle Competition experience
Experience with DBT, or similar ETL/ELT transformation frameworks
Familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, or other big data technologies

Compensation for this position
Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00
