Position Purpose

The Release Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful deployment of applications across various environments. This role requires a strong adherence to the release management process and close collaboration with development teams to prepare and implement releases on the desired dates with the quality expected. 

The Release Manager has a good understanding of Arval application landscape and he’s able to understand how they behave together to deliver our services.

He’s responsible to follow release management calendar and ensure that all the test are performed and validated on non production priori to the production release. He must be able to follow deployment procedures and use Jira, SNOW and Jenkins to achieve its duty. A basic technical understanding of deployment logs is requested in order to troubleshooting failing releases.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·       Oversee the deployment of applications in different environments, ensuring smooth and timely releases.

·       Guarantee compliance with the release management process, maintaining high standards and consistency.

·       Collaborate with development teams to prepare and execute releases according to the scheduled timelines.

·       Analyze deployment logs to identify and troubleshoot issues, ensuring that any problems are promptly addressed.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Be autonomous on his asset (Senior to expert level) and motivated on the daily tasks.

Be an active member of the squad (often multi-technologies). 

Be proactive by raising alerts when it’s flagged, try to understand the global context and suggest how to solve an issue (without focusing only on his subpart). it will also help to understand better the rest of the team (who will not necessarily work on the same tool)

Have proper communication with the Business. (English language)

Apprehend the global business interaction between all ARVAL application landscape

Rigorous and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to follow procedures meticulously.

Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with various stakeholders within the IT department.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Specific Technical skills required for this role:

Ø  Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Jenkins, and ServiceNow (SNOW).

Ø  Ability to analyze deployment logs and understand the root causes of any issues across multiple technology stacks

Ø  Ability to follow technical procedure

Ø  Moderate technical background on any Arval related middleware (weblogic, Kubernetes, database, apache, java, tibco, datastage, IIS, Business Central, CODA…)
