Senior Portfolio Manager for DMA in Taiwan, driving equity investments, research, and client satisfaction.

Role Description and purpose
Act as the Portfolio Manager of Discretionary Managed Accounts (DMA) with dedication in equity portfolio management, the Portfolio Manager shall be equipped with domestic equity products including both direct and indirect lines and own research capability with the leverage of group’s internal resources. Assist the Head of DIM (Discretionary Investment Management), Taiwan to drive the business - analyzing client’s request and conducting research for the insurance clients, to make optimal target-oriented investment decision and to achieve client satisfaction. Responsible for the day to day portfolio management based on the team’s investment views and client’s specific objectives and constraints. The PM will also work closely with the Asian and EM equities team including sharing of investment ideas, analysis at stock level, sector reviews, key themes and risks. The PM will also work with Front Office Risk management team based in HK led by the Head of Investment Office, Asia Pacific.
key responsibilities
- Meet or exceed the investment objectives of assigned portfolios.
- Continuously monitor the dynamics of the Taiwan stock market and being capable of stock picking based on fundamental, technical and behavioral analysis.
- Maintain internal stock pool/ ESG status with written reports under the coverage.
- Co‑work with Taiwan portfolio managers and support Team Heads in overseeing investment process, constructing the portfolio and achieve the optimal asset allocation.
- Ensure that portfolios are managed in accordance with the internal investment process & guidelines.
- Address client inquiries and meet their needs to enhance client satisfaction and trust.
- Quickly respond and adapt to market events, adjust investment strategies & positions to reduce risks and losses.
- Communicate group’s market views, asset class preferences and portfolio positioning as an effort to provide market outlook and portfolios updates to clients in Taiwan.
- Initiate and share investment ideas to both Taiwan and Regional Investment Teams.
- Collaborate with Sales team to expand the business by winning the mandates.
- Always in compliant with compliance and laws applied to the industry and maintain the highest standard of integrity.

Role Requirements
Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or related fields. An MBA or a master's degree in finance would be more competitive. Holding relevant financial certifications to demonstrate professional capability would be a plus.
10 years of relevant experience in equity investment, with an in-depth understanding of the Taiwan stock market's operations, regulatory environment, industry trends, and market dynamics.
Sophisticated experience in managing Taiwan equity portfolio/ mandate with track record
Excellent written and verbal communication skill in Chinese and English.
Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
Qualification exam for Securities Investment Analyst or Senior Securities Specialist or Securities Investment Trust and Consulting Professionals
