Job Title: Assistant Manager
Department : Asset Management – Investment Operations / Reporting
About Business line/Function: Asset Management Reporting is responsible for transforming validated investment, accounting, pricing, and reference data into accurate, timely, and compliant reports for clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders. The function supports multiple reporting types across asset classes, geographies, and regulatory regimes.
Position Purpose: The Teamlead role provides day‑to‑day operational oversight of reporting activities, ensuring consistent delivery, quality adherence, and effective risk management. The role bridges execution and management by translating governance and expectations into operational outcomes.
The Teamlead is accountable for people management, workload planning, issue resolution, and control effectiveness within assigned teams.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- 1. Oversee daily production and validation activities across assigned reporting processes.
- 2. Ensure compliance with SLAs, reporting calendars, quality thresholds, and control frameworks.
- 3. Act as the first escalation point for operational, data, delivery, and quality issues.
- 4. Review and approve critical outputs, exceptions, and escalations as required.
- 5. Manage capacity planning, workload distribution, and peak-period readiness.
Contributing Responsibilities
- 1. Coach, guide, and develop Processors and Validators on technical and quality expectations.
- 2. Support recruitment, training, performance management, and team development activities.
- 3. Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives.
- 4. Coordinate with global stakeholders, Reporting Solutions, Data teams, and Operations.
- 5. Support audits, regulatory reviews, and management reporting requirements.

Specific Qualifications
Post Graduate degree in Finance or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of data management principles within Asset Management, including data sourcing, transformation, enrichment, and distribution.
Experience working with investment data domains such as holdings, transactions, pricing, benchmarks, reference data, and corporate actions.
Ability to manage and validate data flows across upstream and downstream systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Familiarity with data reconciliation, break analysis, and root-cause identification across multiple data sources.
Understanding of data extracts, traceability, and impact analysis, especially in relation to reporting outputs.
Experience with data platforms, reporting tools, and databases used in Asset Management environments.
Prior experience in Data Services, Investment Operations, or Financial Data Management roles is preferred.
Proven experience in supervising reporting or operations teams.
