Senior Financial Controller – oversee taxation, audit, and financial reporting for BNP Paribas in Seoul.
Lead corporate finance operations, compliance, and operational controls across the banking sector.
Primary Role Responsibilities
Prepare tax return and payment for Corporate Tax and Education Tax, Tax Adjustment filing with regional Tax team
For external audit/quarterly review, ensure that the financial statements are produced properly and audit requirements are properly delivered. If any issue raised by an auditor, ensure it is well followed up.
Produce BOK FX Position report, distribute the internal report for the position limit utilization to GM & Local managements, and submit reports to BOK. Report and Compute KDIC fee.
Perform the BEACON control
Follow up the Transfer Pricing Agreement related matters
Prepare SLA yearly payment details for BEPS Report
Prepare Dart publication and year-end closing publication
Support APAC Regional Finance Accounting Controls and Permanent Controls regarding any data request or queries.
Contribute to regional / local projects, committees, internal/external audit or inspections, when needed.
Other contributions
Bring Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
Minimize operational failure by implementing sufficient regular self-checks & controls
Ensure appropriate escalation to CFO, Local/Regional Managements and/ or Local Compliance as appropriate, as soon as an issue is identified.
Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements
Comply with the BNPP standards of Code of Conduct
Comply with the BNPP IT Security policies
Ensure adherence to AML/FS‐related Group Policies and execution of associated operational controls
What is required for you to succeed?
Knowledge of banking and financial investment business products and the related accounting standards
Understanding of local regulatory requirements on banking & financial investment entities.
Understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards and basic tax accounting
MS office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word..)
CPA or Accounting/Business major preferred
Fluent in written or spoken English
