Business Line
Business line is IFSO & Primary Function for treasury operations is to manage Treasury products which includes record/posting all the transaction notifications and miscellaneous posting, i.e., interest, contributions and withdrawals etc. We match foreign exchange deals executed by the Client and ensure timely & proper settlement of these deals in the respective markets. Coordinating with both internal and external stake holders to resolve Cash & FXMM queries. FX. This is to ensure client will receive an updated cash position next day. As a part of Middle office Team Treasury operation serves Client Clean Cash payment & prefunding FX.
Job Position
BNP Paribas Securities Operations provides services to global clients in the Asian region and some “follow-the-sun” activities for European clients. Our services include custody operations, fund accounting, middle office operations, static data management, IRP and other transversal services. The Trade Processing activity under Middle Office Operations is very important and critical process of handling clients globally across locations, an Associate in Treasury department performs daily BAU as per Standard Operating Procedure for the team and Client.
Responsibilities
- Working as a member of the Treasury team that includes trade capture, Matching & settlement of, FX and Money market instruments. Also Able to clearly understand the Clean Cash Payment.
- Understanding of Swift Message (MT103,MT202,MT210,MT304,MT300,MT299,MT199,PACS.009, PACS.008, CAMT.056, CAMT.054 etc.)
- Process Global Treasury transactions within given deadlines
- Interact with both internal and external stake holders to resolve trade confirmation and settlement queries
- Monitoring of transactions to confirm instructions from the client are processed in a timely and accurate manner thus ensuring timely settlement and accounting
- Ensure that all Transactions are processed within market/client deadlines
- Ensure client positions are correct and all transactions are processed
- Query resolution in accordance with time frames set out in Client SLA’s
- Work with the Custodians and brokers for timely matching and settlement.
- Reporting of exceptions in line with internal control and external client requirements.
- Resolve failed trade queries proactively.
- Escalating exceptions and failed transaction to appropriate stake holders for early resolution.
- Ensure all errors/break down of procedure are documented as per BNP Paribas policy
- Extensive communication with Internal & External parties.
- Investigating and resolving custodian exceptions for all 3 product classes.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Constantly update and review procedures to keep up to date with the change in process.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and new initiatives.
- Performing a range of daily, weekly, monthly controls to ensure completeness of processing and that any inappropriate postings, matching etc. is identified and resolved promptly.
- Participate in Brain Storming Sessions and share the best practices and ideas with the peer groups and team members.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Thorough understanding of all Capital market, Financial Instruments, Investment banking processes and above average accounting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and strong MS Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to deal with high volumes of activity
Specific Qualifications (if required)
- Graduates / Post Graduates ( Finance domain preferrable )
- Candidates should be willing and flexible to work in any shifts
- Senior Associate Level : 3+ years of Experience with Investment Banking background
