About Business line/Function
Market and Financing Services (MFS) business line provides a range of solutions to support the increasingly sophisticated requirements of institutional investors, alternative asset managers and financial intermediaries. These include Securities Lending (Agency and Principal), Foreign Exchange (On demand FX, Auto FX, Passive Currency Overlay), Triparty Service and a variety of Financing solutions.
Position Purpose
The Candidate will be responsible for taking care of the Back Office operations of Reconciliation function for across region. He / she will be responsible for performing daily tasks related to stock and cash recon, matching breaks, working with multiple teams on clearing accounting breaks, etc. He/ She will be working closely with offshore management, Account managers, internal and external stakeholders as part of their daily tasks with local reporting in Chennai. The staff will be working closely with all internal teams, Paris and local management, as part of their daily BAU. Candidate with good functional understanding of the Security Lending business and Reconciliation function.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Responsible for full back office operational functions of Stock and cash reconciliation processes for across region (APAC/EMEA/AMER) such as Nostro, stock depot recon, accounting & journal posting and ensuring doing root cause analysis of breaks as 1st level of control
- Working with internal teams to ensure the breaks and accounting breaks are cleared as agreed SLA.
- Enable brain-storming sessions with manager and team to identify recurring issues that impact Client and their desired level of services
- Looking for opportunities to automate any manual reconciliation and also putting governance for all type of recon breaks.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Escalating exceptions to appropriate processing team for resolution.
- Reporting of exceptions in line with internal control and external client requirements.
- Contributing to team success.
- Actively involving in terms of having frequent checks in terms of activities in SOPs and ensuring timely update of Procedures in Global portal within expiry with completeness
- Extended error check in terms of identifying any errors/ incidents such that ensuring notifying reporting manager in terms of a complete write up of the incident within 24 hours post error occurrence.
- Actively involved in training new joiners in the team. Ensuring end to end training of process flow, logic and BAU activities, and specific activities as per requirement.
- Should be able to independently carry forward any formalities in terms of on boarding any new Clients, for the existing process. This involves all the details relevance to services provided, any exceptions, relevant static and contacts details.
- Should be able to come up with training plans based on the designation/ experience and expertise of the trainees.
- Should be knowing end to end steps involved in terms of Daily/ Weekly/ Bi-weekly/ Monthly/ Quarterly/ Annual MIS analysis and presentation and the expertise ability should assist the management in case of any communication or follow up in future.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and strong MS Excel skills required, power BI.
- Application knowledge like Mainline, Intellimatch, Calypso and other Recon tools.
- Extensive experience of working within Security Lending and Reconciliation function
- Proficiency in communication should be witnessed in terms of independent working/ understanding details and assist in terms of decision making/ Easy to convey / No compromise in professionalism.
Specific Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in commerce or Equivalent with minimum 6 yrs of experience.

Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of MS office – Excel and power Point and added advantage if knows Power BI.
- Good product knowledge of Security Lending and hands on experience of functions like Reconciliation of stock and cash.
- Good knowledge of applications like Intellimatch, Calypso, etc.
- Able to understand the Intellimatch lines breaks and good knowledge of SWIFT.
