Corporate Communications Lead
The Corporate Communications Leader is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic stewardship of BNP Paribas' reputation and brand integrity in Brazil. Operating within a highly regulated financial market, the incumbent will lead the end-to-end execution of media relations, reputation management, internal communications, and the bank's social media footprint. This is an individual contributor role that requires high-level strategic influence, managing key relationships with commercial business lines, and overseeing the performance of external partners to ensure the bank's narrative is seamless, compliant, and high-impact.
Main responsibilities

Strategic Reputation & Media Relations
Financial Market Expertise: Leverage deep experience in financial press relations to position the bank as a thought leader in the Brazilian market.
End-to-End Ownership: Lead the bank’s media strategy, acting as the primary point of contact for top-tier financial and business press.
Crisis & Risk Management: Proactively identify potential reputational threats and develop robust mitigation strategies to protect the bank’s brand.
Executive Counsel: Provide strategic communication counsel to senior leadership, drafting high-stakes talking points, speeches, and briefing notes.
Global Alignment: Partner with the Global and Regional Press Offices to ensure local narratives are synchronized with international positioning.

Commercial Partnership & Stakeholder Management
Business Alignment: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the Commercial and Business areas to identify storytelling opportunities and align communication goals with business objectives.
Interdepartmental Coordination: Act as the bridge between technical business units and the external market, translating complex financial products into clear, reputational wins.

Internal Communications
Collaborative Execution: Work in partnership with other team members to plan and execute internal communication activities, ensuring employees are aligned with the bank’s vision, goals, and regulatory requirements.
Channel Support: Contribute to the management of internal touchpoints (such as Town Halls, Echonet, Newsletter), ensuring consistency and timeliness of messaging.

Social Media Support
Tactical Support: Act as a backup for the bank’s corporate social media presence (primarily LinkedIn), providing support and oversight as needed to ensure brand consistency.

Agency Management, Governance & Controls (Critical)
PR Agency Oversight: Manage the end-to-end relationship with the external PR agency, setting KPIs, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring the highest quality of execution.
Rigorous Process Management: Establish and maintain strict internal controls, tracking mechanisms, and workflows to ensure zero-failure in delivery and documentation.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all communications adhere to the stringent regulations of the Brazilian financial market and compliance policies.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing (
Experience: Extensive experience in Corporate Communications or Public Relations, with a mandatory background in Press Office/Media Relations within the Financial Market.
Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to navigate complex corporate environments and build trust with commercial leaders and senior executives.
Agency Management: Demonstrated experience in managing external agencies to deliver high-performance results.
Organizational Rigor: A "process-first" mindset. The candidate must be exceptionally organized, with a demonstrated ability to implement controls and manage high-visibility projects under pressure.
Communication Skills: Native Portuguese and Fluent English.
