Job Overview
An Automation Specialist orchestrates and streamlines business processes through technology. Responsibilities encompass designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using programming languages such as Python and Java or tools such as UiPath, Power Platform, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop solutions that automate manual processes.
- Create and maintain documentation for automation processes, including technical specifications and user manuals.
- Perform testing and debugging of automation solutions to ensure they work as intended and meet quality standards.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for automation solutions, including troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology, and make recommendations for improving existing processes and systems.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use automation solutions effectively.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 7 to 10 years experience.
- Proven experience working with automation tools and technologies such as UiPath or Power Platform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, BASH, VBA, LLM and other Gen AI tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Significant experience in automation engineering.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages.
- Knowledge of software development best practices.
- Experience managing automation projects.
