Role overview:
Based in Den Haag, you will be responsible for business development and underwriting in trade credit insurance, with a clear focus on banks and financial institutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with top-tier banks, globally active financial institutions, and specialized factoring and leasing companies, positioning Zurich as the risk transfer partner of choice.
- Structure complex credit and insurance solutions for the risk transfer of trade receivables and financing transactions - from traditional receivables finance programs and supply chain finance platforms to export letters of credit structures and leasing portfolios.
- Act as the key point of contact for our banking partners. Manage the full offer and contract process end-to-end - from initial outreach and structured pipeline management through to closing and the ongoing development of each partnership.
- Represent our Credit Lines unit externally - in meetings with banks and brokers, at conferences, and at industry events across trade finance, receivables finance, and supply chain finance - while proactively bringing market and product insights into our organization.
Qualifications & experience:
A degree in Business administration, Economics, or a comparable qualification
6-10 years’ experience in corporate business with strong exposure to trade finance, receivables finance, supply chain finance, export L/Cs, and leasing - for example at a bank, a trade credit insurer, or a specialized broker.
Knowledge about and experience with negotiating policy terms & conditions from the insurance policy as well as Whole Turnover Policies, Single Buyer Solutions and Top up Solutions
Supported by a network with banks and brokers involved in these transactions
Familiarity with TCI coverages to provide CRR conformity for Financial Institutions in relation to capital relief insurance
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and the ability to present complex matters clearly and appropriately to different audiences
Proven customer focus, enthusiasm for business development, team spirit, and a structured, solution-oriented way of working - also in an international environment
Excellent Dutch and English language skills, German would be a plus
