Job role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Strategic Purchaser to join our Procurement team. The Strategic Purchaser will be responsible for overseeing the strategical and operational Procurement processes, negotiating different projects and working to achieve Allianz Group savings target.
What you will do
- Manage sourcing activities in the category of IT with a focus on services procurement (i.e., strategy and operations consulting, expert advisory, project management support) but also infrastructure and software.
- Assess business requests, specify demand and deliverables, execute defined procurement activities to ensure a timely start of the project
- Drive strategic and tactical sourcing initiatives incl. selection of potential suppliers, coordination of RFPs, assessment of proposals, negotiation of commercial terms.
- Execute contracting activities incl. coordination of contract extension cycles, alignment with stakeholders, amendment of contract documents.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance and legal teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives.
- Manage the relationship with selected preferred suppliers to ensure adherence with company requirements and expectations throughout the lifecycle of the engagement. Monitor deliverables expectations, track performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Consult and support both internal and external stakeholders in all procurement related matters incl. process training and problem resolution.
- Support implementing and executing the Procurement strategy for the Professional Services incl. active supplier consolidation, central sourcing initiative steering, global process standardization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders incl. senior management, functional departments and procurement colleagues on a local and global level
- Coordinate change requests, monitor contract cycles and savings initiatives and support system-supported RFQ processes.
What you bring
- Degree in computer science or economics/business administration with focus on third-party management, IT Professional Service procurement (IT Consulting) or equivalent
- Several years (5 years+) of work experience in a relevant area, involving project management, IT and others
- Sound negotiations skills combined with contractual knowledge are a matter of course for you
- Be highly adaptable to a dynamic environment with self-starter attitude
- Ability to prioritize and work independently on multiple activities at the same time
- Good communication and customer orientation, as well as supplier-relationship-management skills
- German and English business fluent - additional languages advantageous
- You are proficient in the common MS-Office programs as well as different procurement tools
