Senior Vice President – Structured Export Finance (SEF) – Paris
Lead SEF/SCF projects, develop defense sector deals, manage portfolio and business development.
Overview
Within Financial Istitution desk of IMI CIB Paris Branch, the role is designed to take ownership of projects and transactions within the portfolio while actively contributing to the development of new business opportunities. It combines portfolio management responsibilities with business development activities.
What you'll be doing
As part of this dual focus, the role will involve developing and maintaining relationships with: Banking counterparties and companies involved in export activities, with a particular focus on the defence sector; Internal stakeholders from the coverage and product side; Export customers and public agencies.
Key responsibilities include
- Origination of new SEF/SCF transactions with a particular focus on the defence sector
- Actively explore new financing arbitrage opportunities, to widen the scope of transactions being pursued by the bank
- Due diligence, research (including economic research) for preparation of business proposals, credit applications, credit line renewals and annual reviews
- Providing support throughout the negotiation process, including the documentation and structuring of SEF and SCF transactions
- Performing all tasks relating to the management and administration of the portfolio
- Carrying out some reporting tasks and monitoring of profitability
Who we are looking for
Min 5 years in financial institution or SEF environment required
Previous experience of Portfolio Management or Project Management with a view of expending commercial qualifications
Deep understanding of Structured Export Finance and knowledge of Supply Chain Finance
Knowledge of global trade finance regulations and compliance
Experience working with financial institutions and cross-functional teams
English and French knowledge required, Italian is a plus
