Role Summary
This role leads the strategic vision and roadmap for a technical product or products with cross-divisional impact, demonstrating a deep understanding of the product(s) and associated business areas. Products often have enterprise‑wide implications. This role also uses market research and customer insights to drive innovation, evaluate product functionality, and influence future product direction.
Responsibilities
- 1. Leads technical product management activities for multiple technical products, or one strategic technical product, with cross‑divisional impact. Drives the design and continuous improvement of the technical solution.
- 2. Influences and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience. Ensures business outcomes are linked to business case drivers.
- 3. Coaches technical product teams towards best practices and learnings. Oversees product teams' support of the messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.
- 4. Facilitates strong business support through working with team members to promote a consistent approach to decisions/impacts and client propositions. Drives connection across all appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
- 5. Leads the planning, development and implementation of new technical products with cross‑divisional impact. Defines and analyzes technical markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.
- 6. Influences and employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.
- 7. Participates in and influences ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.
- 8. Drives the team’s engineering practices in development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
- 9. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- 10. Manages the full product lifecycle from strategic planning through development and execution to support business objectives.
- 11. Conducts market and consumer trend research to uncover opportunities for product innovation and competitive advantage.
- 12. Determines product features and functionalities, aligning them with user needs and business value.
- 13. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams including development, marketing, and sales to ensure successful product delivery.
- 14. Prepares product documentation and provides subject‑matter expertise to enable go‑to‑market strategies.
- 15. Uses customer and market feedback to continuously assess and guide future product direction.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 10 years of experience in technical product management or related business roles, with at least 3 years leading large cross‑functional teams on major organizational projects. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field is required; graduate degree preferred.
Strong background in: Personal Performance Products Portfolio Performance Rate of Return Calculations Investment & Brokerage Platforms
Deep understanding of APIs Microservices Architecture Data Platforms
Experience in highly regulated financial environments.
Expertise in data accuracy, resiliency, controls, auditability, and compliance.
Strong analytical and root‑cause investigation capabilities.
Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills
Good to have skills in product lifecycle management, technical product strategy, market research, cross‑functional collaboration, product design, and requirements gathering. Strong understanding of agile methodologies, cloud platforms, APIs, and customer experience optimization.
Critical thinking, problem‑solving, stakeholder management, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Preferred certifications include Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe POPM, or Pragmatic Product Management. Ability to balance customer‑centric innovation with business impact and technical feasibility is key to success.
