Application Support Analyst
Job Description
- Ensuring that up-to-date job control language is maintained and documented for each program that is part of a scheduled production run.
- Ensuring the documentation and tracking of all shift turnover issues.
- Contributing to job scheduling and report distribution, as well as data center standards development and enforcement.
- Monitoring the library to insure that the proper generation of data files are available for production runs and tracks resolution.
- Monitoring the EOD batches and act immediately to identify the root cause for job failures and remediate.
- Monitor via ITRS Dashboard to ensure health of Application.
- Ensure timely delivery to downstream consumers (Front Office).
- Drive improved stability and higher quality of data delivered to Front Office.
- Document new issues that occur and maintain/enhance existing documentation to ensure consistent steps performed for known issues.
- Coordinate between several groups to remediate issues (Support, Development, Analytics, Quants).
- Investigate pricing failures and resolve issues utilization various skills including SQL, Unix, Windows.
- Develop scripts to automate processes using Powershell and other scripting languages.
Requirements
- Powershell scripting
- SQL language (any DB language but SQL Server/Oracle preferred
- Windows Server, ability to deep-dive into issues
- ITRS Geneos Monitoring Software
- Job Scheduler experience (i.e. BMC Control-M, Cron, etc.)
