Project Manager, Data Delivery – oversee tech projects for Wealth Management in Edinburgh.

Drive project delivery on time and within budget while guiding cross‑functional teams.

What is the opportunity?

You will will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical application delivery projects while serving as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. This role combines project management expertise with technical knowledge to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days our 144 Morrison Street, Edinburgh office.

What will you do?

\
• Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables; create detailed project plans and schedules.
\
• Team Leadership: Lead cross‑functional technical teams, coordinate resources, and facilitate collaboration between developers, business / data analysts, and other SMEs.
\
• Risk Management: Identify potential technical and scheduling risks; develop mitigation strategies.
\
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to leadership and clients; manage expectations and address concerns.
\
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and control costs.
\
• Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet technical standards and quality requirements.
\
• Problem‑Solving: Address blockers and technical challenges to keep projects on track.

Must‑have

\
• Strong technical background (software development, engineering, IT, or related field).
\
• Project management expertise and familiarity with methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
\
• Strong ability to manage and influence stakeholders across both business and Technology teams, including developers, testers, platform leads, change leaderships, SME’s, solution analyst and business analyst.
\
• Acts as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring requirements, constraints, and priorities are clearly understood by all stakeholders.
\
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
\
• Highly organised with excellent time management, able to prioritise work and manage multiple activities in a dynamic delivery environment.
\
• Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.).
\
• Experience involving enterprise technical integration, data interfaces (generally required for any platform / software development in any large organization)
\
• Technical stakeholder alignment between business, architecture, development, and operations teams
\
• Experience of conducting and leading Working Groups, status reviews, and escalation forums, providing input for Steering committee meetings
\
• Effective communication, building rapport with team members and stakeholders at all levels
\
