Supports the quality assurance program for investigations by conducting independent quality reviews, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, and providing reporting and insights to management. Ensures investigations are completed in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct quality assurance assessments of investigation files to evaluate adherence to established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
• Review and analyze investigation documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and quality.
• Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, recurring issues, and trends through detailed file reviews and data analysis.
• Prepare accurate and timely quality assurance reporting, dashboards, and management summaries using Excel and other reporting tools.
• Analyze QA results and performance data to identify patterns, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Track and monitor quality assurance findings, corrective actions, exceptions, and remediation activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of assessments, findings, and recommendations.
• Partner with investigation teams and business stakeholders to clarify findings, discuss opportunities for improvement, and promote consistent application of standards.
• Communicate QA results, trends, and recommendations clearly and effectively to management and stakeholders.
• Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of quality assurance methodologies, procedures, job aids, and reporting tools.
• Assist in the implementation of process improvements and quality enhancement initiatives.
• Monitor adherence to defined processes, procedures, and controls and elevate concerns where appropriate.
• Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and management requests by providing quality assurance data, analysis, and documentation.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to support program objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Exercise sound judgment in identifying, documenting, and escalating quality-related issues and risks.
• Work independently to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and quality excellence.

Qualifications

• Typically 4–6 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, investigations, compliance, risk management, audit, or a related field.
• Post-secondary degree or equeivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop meaningful insights.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when reviewing complex documentation and large data sets.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, reporting, and trend analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
• Proven relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment when evaluating issues and recommending solutions.
• Experience preparing reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple business groups.
• Experience with quality assurance reviews, investigations, compliance monitoring, audit, or operational risk management is considered an asset.

Salary

Salary : $56,000.00 - $103,500.00

Pay Type: Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
