Duties and Responsibilities

Several internship positions are open in the Civil Society Unit (CSU), Office of the Director (OD), Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs (DPA), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna, Austria. The next internship will start in October 2026. All internships are for a period of four (4) to six (6) months subject to the needs of the office and the availability of the interns. The internship is UNPAID and full time. Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the office to which they are assigned. The UNODC Civil Society Unit (CSU) manages the Civil Society Global Programme (GLOU68). Within the framework of GLOU68, CSU facilitates the dialogue between civil society, Member States, and the private sector in the fight against corruption, on drug issues and other crimes. Through the GLOU68 programme, CSU works to facilitate meaningful participation of relevant stakeholders in UNODC activities.
