Assistant Manager, Health Business Development – Hong Kong – Drive health insurance sales and underwriting support.
Partner with agents, build training modules, and enhance underwriting processes for Prudential's health business.
Job Responsibilities
1. Distribution Engagement & Health Sales Enablement Build and sustain trusted, proactive relationships with agency leaders and key agents across channels; maintain a steady cadence (briefings, roadshows) to surface field pain points quickly and strengthen confidence in selling health. Produce clear, practical selling aids and tools (objection handling scripts, underwriting tips and FAQs). Capture field insights and feed them back to product, underwriting and operations to refine propositions, underwriting guidance and case handling. 2. Health Underwriting Enquiry Handling & Case Escalation Serve as the primary contact for agents’ health underwriting questions Coach pre-underwriting and case packaging to ensure complete, high-quality submissions, reduce turnaround time and improve straight-through rates. 3. Health Training and Capability Building (with performance management) Build practical modules covering pre-underwriting preparation aligned to target segments Execute workshops, webinars and small-group coaching clinics Track pre/post knowledge and tool adoption. Use distribution feedback and enquiry analytics to continuously refine content with Product, Underwriting and Operations.
Job Requirements
Solid track record in the underwriting field with at least 6 years relevant experience in life insurance underwriting Professional qualification in Life Insurance including FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) Strong interpersonal and customer service skills University Degree in any discipline E xcellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken) including Putonghua PC literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
