Job Profile Summary
In this role, you will assess medical and financial risks of applicants for life and health insurance policies. As part of this dynamic role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate the risk and exposures of potential clients.
Job Description
- Assess medical and financial risks of applicants for life and health insurance policies
- Make decisions, within the given authority, that are consistent with underwriting standards and compatible with market trends
- Review cases with complex medical conditions and multiple risk factors
- Process a customer request end to end
- Provide support and services to Financial Consultants on matters relating to underwriting
- Face to face service interaction with the sales team at PruBusiness Centres on New Business matter
- Be involved in ad hoc projects
Who we are looking for
Competencies & Personal Traits
- Sound knowledge of medical conditions, insurance laws & regulations
- Good understanding of insurance products
- Customer-oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident in problem solving and decision making
- Possesses project management skills
- Proficient in MS Office
Working Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in life and health underwriting.
Professional Qualifications
- ACII, ANZIIF, ALU or LOMA
Education
- Degree in Nursing or Biomedical Science/Engineering
