Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade Java/J2EE web applications supporting Risk and Finance regulatory reporting workflows. Build and enhance front‑end components of dashboard applications using JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, and AJAX. Participate in and contribute to architectural design discussions, proposing solutions to complex technical and design challenges. Review code quality, identify and remediate defects, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Critically evaluate existing processing pipelines and recommend improvements to drive efficiency and performance enhancements. Liaise with business users to gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Collaborate with technology partners and cross‑functional teams to implement reconciliation processes and ensure business requirements are met. Define and execute testing strategies, including managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and providing post‑implementation support. Lead weekly status review calls with stakeholders to track progress, maintain issues logs, and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion. Provide reporting inputs for bi‑weekly steering committee updates, including project status, financials, and escalations as appropriate. Work within an Agile delivery environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications
5+ years of hands‑on experience delivering enterprise‑level Java development projects, with expert‑level proficiency in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and J2EE. Demonstrated expertise in Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and the Cloudera Ecosystem (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Impala). Strong proficiency in RESTful Web Services, XSD, JSON, and server‑side integration patterns. Proficiency in front‑end technologies including JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, and AJAX. Experience developing high‑performance, multi‑threaded applications with a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and operating systems. Solid knowledge of software design patterns and the ability to apply them to resolve complex architectural and design challenges. Experience with web application servers, specifically WebSphere and WASND. Familiarity with source code management tools, including SVN and Bitbucket. Strong data analysis skills, with hands‑on experience using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Experience in the banking, financial services, or compliance sector is strongly preferred. Knowledge of regulatory reporting, trade processing flows, and the regulatory impact of operational processing is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

$96 960,00 - $145 440,00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
