The Role
As a Junior Portfolio Management Officer within the Luxembourg Portfolio Management Team at M&G Luxembourg S.A., you will support the oversight of delegated investment management activities, helping to ensure investment mandates, regulatory requirements and governance standards are met.
The role focuses on monitoring portfolio and liquidity indicators, analysing investment performance, supporting investment due diligence and contributing to governance reporting. You will work closely with colleagues, delegates and service providers to deliver high-quality oversight, maintain strong controls and support the ongoing enhancement of portfolio management processes and tools.
This role is well suited to an early-career professional who is analytical, collaborative and committed to delivering accurate, timely and effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the oversight of the Investment Management Delegate in line with their investment mandates, legal and regulatory requirements;
- Collect, centralise and analyse the portfolio indicators on investment and liquidity positioning and reports received from internal sources and external service providers;
- Monitor and analyse fund investment performance;
- Support pre-trade approvals on real estate and securitisation investment;
- Participate in periodic and ad-hoc investment management due diligence reviews;
- Participate in incident management and remediation oversight;
- Assist in the product development and product management process;
- Prepare periodic governance reports and summaries to management committees and fund boards;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant teams across the group; and
- Participate in the ongoing enhancement of oversight processes and tools.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- An understanding of Lux Investment Management structures;
- Awareness of different investment strategies and asset classes;
- Experience gained through an internship, graduate programme or up to 2- 3 years’ experience in a similar position;
- Excellent organisational and prioritising skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Self-motivated; ability to handle change positively;
- Qualifications: University degree in finance or economics.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power point.
