Project Info
The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant is a $2.8 billion water infrastructure project north of Perth. Delivered under an alliance between Water Corporation, ACCIONA and Jacobs, the plant will supply 150,000 cubic metres of drinking water daily. The project includes ocean intake and discharge pipelines and a 33.5 kilometre pipeline to Wanneroo Reservoir.
About the Opportunity
ACCIONA is seeking a Project Engineer – Electrical to join the delivery team on the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer – Electrical, you will support the safe and successful delivery of electrical engineering works across the project, covering technical planning, scheduling, procurement and quality control. You will work closely with construction, design and technical services teams to ensure electrical works are delivered on program, within budget and to specification.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply ACCIONA's OMRs and lead weekly safety inspections
- Review construction method statements and workpacks
- Plan and program electrical works within the P6 schedule
- Manage subcontractor documentation and design submissions
- Monitor QA processes, including ITPs and NCR close out
- Use digital engineering tools to plan and review designs
- Provide technical guidance on electrical design concepts
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or relatable experience
- Experience on major infrastructure or water projects
- Sound knowledge of relevant electrical design standards
- Proficiency with P6 and digital engineering platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of WHS practices with an understanding of environmental requirements
