What you'll be doing
As part of your daily activities, you will: Maintain and enhance or validate quantitative models for Financial/Credit Risk measurement, management and optimization, exploring solutions where weaknesses are identified or where new business requires extensions. Work on the development/validation of Advanced Internal Ratings Based models for Private Individuals and Corporates Financial Risk models (i.e. market, counterparty, XVAs …). Explore Artificial Intelligence methodologies for classification of client behaviors and anticipate credit deterioration. Develop in-house software for research and data research. Interact with other Risk Management teams, Business, IT Department and Control Functions, providing quantitative support at various levels of the business processes Perform credit analysis on a diversified portfolio of large counterparts forming opinions on the adequateness of the risk appetite, in turn supporting the decision-making process. Interact with business and other risk functions to ensure consistency of credit reviews. Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of Digital Risks, including cybersecurity threats, IT system vulnerabilities, and risks related to emerging technologies. The definition of strategies to be submitted to the competent fuctions/bodies, to mitigate non financial risks and containing the related losses and risk weighted assets, as well as for setting their continual and independent monitoring and control. Digital risks governance and control leveraging on the established framework methodology (i.e. the "Framework"), for the evaluations on mitigation measures' adequacy on digital processes for UniCredit S.p.A., for the oversight of the Framework's implementation across the Group Entities as well as for the periodic reporting to the Group Top Management to support risk-based decision making.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be an ideal candidate, you have: Academic background in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, computer science) or finance (e.g. economics, accounting, finance). Solid IT skills and some experience in programming and scripting languages. Ability to operate with mild supervision in a complex environment, assuming responsibility for the delivery of quantitative analyses. Some experience in risk management practices, banking regulation, commercial banking could be a good base for the candidate experience. Be fluent in English.
