Description

WBG Pioneers, the World Bank Group’s Internship Program, offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high impact learning experience at the heart of global development. Participants gain hands on experience in a diverse and dynamic environment, contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, and connect with international professionals working to end poverty on a livable planet.

The Korea Green Growth Trust Fund (KGGTF), housed within the World Bank Group (WBG)’s Planet Vice Presidency, is a flagship partnership between the WBG and the Republic of Korea that supports innovative and scalable green growth solutions, contributing to the WBG’s mission to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet. By combining Korea’s development experience and technological leadership with the WBG’s global platform and operational reach, the KGGTF translates policy innovation into investment‑ready solutions.

Now in its fourth year, the KGGTF Youth Internship Program, offered under the WBG Pioneers Program, provides interns with hands‑on experience at the intersection of global development, green growth, and WBG operations. Interns will participate in lectures delivered by experienced WBG staff and experts from Korean partner institutions, undertake team projects and individual assignments, and engage in knowledge exchange activities and site visits. They will also support selected KGGTF activities, gaining practical skills, sector knowledge, and valuable professional networks throughout the program.
