Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering and construction activities, managing subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring project progress, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily construction activities and project delivery.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier performance.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
- Prepare project reports, forecasts, and short‑term work programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Review engineering documentation, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Support procurement, resource planning, and authority approvals.
- Identify project risks, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, site supervisors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture across the project team.
Required Skills and Competencies
About You:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Several years experience within construction, civil, or infrastructure projects – Structures experience desirable.
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Sound understanding of WHS, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and project documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
